Pre-WW2 buildings discovered during construction

Construction workers unearthed remains of buildings dated pre-World-War-2 in Poland’s capital Warsaw. The construction was connected with planned modernisation of boulevards along the Vistula river. The discovery was made in the place where an underpass was planned.

Foundations of a posh building were discovered. The building was erected in the early 20th century at the crossing of Mariensztad and Kasztelanka streets. Beside the foundations fragments of flooring and furnace tiles were found. The boulevards are said to be ready next year.
