The seal was found at the site where excavations of the Çukurova University Archaeological Research and Application Center are being conducted. The seal is said to date back to the times of the queen Puduhepa, a Hittite queen married to the King Hattusili III in 13th century BC. The seal implies that the one named Pati was an influential person or a dignitary person. Pati could have even been a religious official. Earlier, in 2008, another seal was found, bearing the name “Tusutawa”. That find was dated to the reign of Hittite King Telipinu in the middle of 15th century BC.
