The Kingdom of Osroene, located in Upper Mesopotamia, was the vassal state of the Partian and Roman Empires. The excavations of Osroene’s capital, Edessa, unearthed so far nearly 80 rock graves from the Roman era and recently five floor mosaics. The experts state that these mosaics feature Syriac inscriptions and fine engravings and were located at the bottom of rock tombs. The mosaics are now scheduled for restoration, after which they will be displayed at the museum.
