Mysterious iron object unearthed in Leigh village

Construction workers at Leigh village, Kent, south-western United Kingdom, were stopped when a 190 horse power tractor struck a large metal object lying buried in the soil.

Archaeologists are trying to identify the object made of cast iron and determine its function. The iron piece was already dated to the Victorian era. Further analysis is scheduled.
