The ancient pottery depicts a man who sits with his hand on his chin. The figurine was found as a part of a pot that was shattered after burial around 3800 years ago. The 18-centimetre tall figurine was found on the last day of the excavations. According to the archaeologists first the pot was made and later the figurine was attached to it. The neck of the jug served as a base for forming the upper portion of the figure, after which the arms, legs and a face were added to the sculpture. The figure seems to be resting on its hand as if in a state of reflection. It is unclear if the figure was made by the potter who prepared the jug or by another craftsman.

Archaeologists also found other vessels, as well as daggers, arrowheads, and axe head, as well as the bones of sheep and what may be ass bones, which may suggest that they were funerary objects for a prominent member of the Canaanite community.
