The find was documented and removed from the site of discovery by local explorers from the Latebra fundation and workers of the Muzeum Marynarki Wojennej w Gdyni (Navy Museum in Gdynia). The identified object consists of the outer shell of the warhead part of a torpedo bomb. Rocket torpedoes and remotely controlled bombs were developed as Wundewaffe, but never left the experimental testing stage. The BT1000 type torpedo bomb is the only one which was equipped in a rocket engine. According to experts this attests to conducting such tests by the Nazis in the area of Gdynia. The find is said to be the only such object ever discovered.
