Archaeologists discovered numerous sites on the island of Marawah and Baynunah in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The sites date back over 7000 years.

Japanese archaeologists discovered a new tomb in Khoja area in Egypt’s Luxor. The tomb was built for a person named “Khonso“, who served as royal scribe during the era known as the Ramesside period of the 19th (1292-1189 BC) and 20th Dynasties (1189-1077) during ancient Egypt’s New Kingdom.

Underwater archaeologists discovered remains of an ancient Roman vessel that sank off the coast of Cabrera, near the southern coast of Mallorca. The shipwreck is believed to be 1800 years old.

A pendant with an image of the Tudor rose on its front was found at a building site near the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia. The artefact is believed to be 400 years old.

Recent storm that struck the western beach in Kołobrzeg, north-western Poland, revealed concrete structures at the shore. The structures were identified as part of the bunker system built in 1950s.

Excavations of a prehistoric cemetery of Al Khiday, Sudan, revealed wallnut-size prostate stones, which were found in the pelvic area of an 12000-year-old burial of an adult male.

Archaeologists conducting research prior to the construction of Hotel Długi Targ at Gdańsk, North Poland, discovered fragments of Gothic walls, remains of wooden housing, and various artefacts dating back up to second half of 14th century.

Archaeologists working at a construction site at İsmet Paşa district of Muğla province, western Turkey, discovered an ancient jar containing burnt human remains. It is believed to date to the Hellenistic period.
