Ancient church unearthed during construction works | ArchaeoFeed
Construction workers in Istanbul, Turkey, unearthed the remains of a 1500-year-old church on the Asian shore of the Bosporus, during infrastructure works by Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration. After the workers started to unearth ancient artefacts, archaeologists were called at the site, resulting in the discovery of artefacts as old as the Hagia Sophia basilica.
