Ancient tomb found in southwest China

In southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality archaeologists discovered an ancient tomb dating back 1800 years.

The discovery was made during construction of a kindergarten. The tomb is believed to date to the period of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220AD). According to archaeologists it contained various artefacts such as pottery, statues and broken coins. Initial archaeological investigation revealed that the tomb was supposedly built for a wealthy person, but at this point the individual’s identity remains unconfirmed.
