Seven Soviet howitzers were discovered in a car that was passing the border between Poland and Ukraine in Hrebenne, East Poland.
The Customs officers discovered the weapons in the trunk of a private car on Polish plates in which a Polish and Ukrainian citizens were travelling. Six of the weapons were identified as RPG-18 type howitzers, and one as RPG-22. The individuals and the howitzers were detained and transferred to the local Border Guards outpost. The RPG-18 and RPG-22 are Soviet anti-tank howitzers that were manufactures in the 1960s and 1970s. They are disposable light anti-tank rocket launchers consisting of a launcher and a carried missile.
