A 39-year-old individual was arrested in Warlubie, North Poland, for illegally conducting excavations and theft of archaeological artefacts.

Police officers from Bydgoszcz and Świecie took part in an operation that led to arrest of the individual suspected of the illegal actions. Within his house a metal detector was discovered and numerous archaeological artefacts. Among them were parts of ornamented pottery vessels, a metal bracelet, clay spindle whorl, flint tools, four coins, 5 fragmentary preserved fibulae and a cone-shaped metal object. The man is facing charges of up to 3 years in prison.
