Georgian mosaic discovered in Israeli port
The well-preserved coloured mosaic floor from a Georgian church or monastery was uncovered in the coastal city of Ashdod, South-East Israel. The mosaic is said to be 1500 years old.
Ottoman period fisherman’s hut discovered
Archaeologists discovered an Ottoman period building in Ashkelon, Israel. The building was once used by local inhabitants engaged in fishing along the Mediterranean coast.
