A team of Armenian and Polish archaeologists has made new discoveries at Metsamor, Sout-West Armenia, uncovering graves and artefacts dating back to 8-6th centuries BC.

Police officers from Miastko and Szczecin, Poland, were able to recover over 200 archaeological artefacts dating back to Early Iron Age which are said to have been illegally unearthed in Miastko earlier this year. The artefacts consist of vessels and jewellery attributed to the people of Lusatian culture.

Archaeologists working a construction site of a high-pressure gas pipeline near Sulmierzyce, West Poland, discovered a settlement and burial site of the Lusitian culture, dating back the Early and Middle Bronze Age (1300-900 BC).

Archaeological investigation prior to S3 road construction linking Legnica and Bolków, south-western Poland, led to the discovery of numerous archaeological features, including a Prehistoric burial site, pottery and Bronze artefacts.

Artefacts being 2500 years old were found during a scheduled clearing of a forest area in the district of Wipsowo, northern Poland, from potential unexploded ordnance by sappers in cooperation with archaeologists.

Metal detectorist stumbled upon bronze artefacts near the village of Drążdżewo Małe in north-central Poland. The archaeologists that studied the find connected it with the Lusatian culture of Late Bronze Age and Early Iron Age (1300-500 BC).

Archaeologists discovered over 40 barrows near Sarbia, north-western Poland, that served as places of burial for people living 2500 years ago. The structures were discovered by an amateur who is said to have studied satellite images of the area.

Unusual burials were discovered by a joint team of Polish and Georgian archaeologists that conducted excavations on the Beshtasheni burial site, south-eastern Georgia. This season over 16 graves were excavated, dating back to Late Bronze and Early Iron Age.
