Copper identified in Egyptian ink for the first time
Through X-ray microscopy researchers managed to identify copper as used in ink for writing on 2000-year-old Egyptian papyri.
Ancient scroll buried by Vesuvius virtually unwrapped
A team of archaeologists managed to virtually unroll papyrus scrolls, using a technique called x-ray phase-contrast tomography. The scrolls were among these found at Herculaneum in 18th century.
