Medieval city found in Wales
An amateur archaeologists found a Medieval city in South Wales, called Trellech. The land was bought by him 12 years ago with the intent of finding the lost city – now the excavations confirmed its existence.
An amateur archaeologists found a Medieval city in South Wales, called Trellech. The land was bought by him 12 years ago with the intent of finding the lost city – now the excavations confirmed its existence.
Excavations in Bydgoszcz, North-central Poland, in the area of former castle moats brought to light numerous finds, including wooden structures, remains of buildings and an overwhelming amount of artefacts from between 14th-19th centuries.
Archaeologists excavating for the first time in the area of the forgotten city of Dzwonowo, western Poland, discovered hundreds of artefacts and revealed a cemetery dated to period between 14th-18th centuries. The city itself was discovered through analysis of satellite images in 2014.
