Police officers detained an individual after seizing numerous Medieval artefacts that he tried to sell at online auctions, The artefacts were obtained illegally through use of a metal detector at an unregistered archaeological site in Grunwald, Poznań, Western Poland.
An inhabitant of Andrychów, South Poland, was detained after an attempt of illegal selling a metal axe at an Internet auction. The age of the artefact was confirmed as being at least 3000 years old.
Police have stopped an illegal online auction of a bronze axe, which was started by a citizen of Andrychów, South Poland, on one of auction sites. Experts have dated the find to between 1300-1000 years BC.
