The idol of Madhvacharya (or Madhva Acharya) a Hindu philosopher living between 1238–1317 was discovered in the collection of the Sri Jaladurga temple in a village in Karkala, South India.
Several idols, including a rare Yoga Narasimha (an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu) idol, were found in Penpahad village, Telangana, India. The finds date to between 1st-3rd century AD.
Excavations in Kaharole, Dinajpur district, Bangladesh, revealed a temple believed to be at least 800-years-old. The structure contains unique architectural features and is a place where an idol of the Vishnu avatar Mohini was found.
