A bronze fibula dated to 1st century AD was found in a ploughed field in Dąbrówka Tczewska, northern Poland. The Iron Age find was presented to the Fabryka Sztuki museum in Tczew.
Local amateur finds Roman-era weapons
A local amateur explorer discovered Roman-period spearheads, while conducting metal detection survey in the area of Susz, North Poland. Previously he discovered a Roman spatha-type sword in the area.
Lavishly equipped female burial found within a barrow
A female grave dubbed “the princess burial” was found dug into a barrow in North-western Poland. The burial of a Wielbark culture individual is dated to second half of 2nd century AD.
