Recent storm at the Baltic Sea shore in the area of the Słowiński National Park, North Poland, revealed a wooden hull of a boat. Archaeologists will conduct research to identify the type and age of the find.
The discovery was made in a remote, hardly accessible area of the National Park. It is a site, where the sea is almost at the dunes behind the shoreline. Currently the artefacts dating is unknown but the Park authorities informed the Heritage Office and National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk to conduct research. The find is said to become a future exhibit in the local newly created museum that is scheduled for 2018.
