New ancient finds in Aswan

Archaeologists working in the Aswan region, Egypt, made new discoveries at the ancient Egyptian city of Edfu, where a royal administrative complex has been uncovered, and at Kom Ombo, where new artefacts have been unearthed at the ancient temple.

Excavations at Tell El Fara’in, known as ancient Buto or Butosus, east of Alexandria, Egypt, unearthed remains of mud-brick walls and artefacts, some of which are linked to King Psamtik I, a Pharaoh of the 26th Dynasty.

Ptolemaic tombs unearthed in Egypt

Three Ptolemaic tombs were unearthed in El-Kamin El-Sahrawi, Minya, Egypt. These finds are believed to point to existence of a large cemetery from the period from the 27th Dynasty and the Greco-Roman era.

Stele with Pharao's name found in looting hole

Egyptian antiquities authorities discovered an ancient carved block in a hole in the floor of a an old two-story, mud-brick house  during inspection in the Beni Mansour area of Abydos, in Upper Egypt. The block is engraved with the cartouche of the 30th Dynasty King Nectanebo II (360-342 BC).
