Cremated human remains were found in Gongchi Village, Jingchuan Country, China. They were inside a ceramic box bearing an inscription that says they are of Siddhārtha Gautama, the Buddha. The box was found along with more than 260 Buddhist statues.
Excavations at a 1500-year-old cemetery in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China, revealed numerous artefacts, including a silk-covered body inside a wooden coffin and a silver bowl depicting Greek gods.
Archaeologists reported a discovery of a 1500-year-old tomb of a woman who was adorned with unique jewellery, including a necklace of 5000 beads and golden earrings. The find was made in Datong City in China while surveying the area before a construction project.
