Archaeologists discovered what are believed to be the oldest Bronze Age towers and workshops that produced copper at Al Khashba in Wilayat of Al Mudhaibi, Oman.

Stone vessels dated to Iron Age found in Oman

Stone vessels made of chlorite were found at a mountain village of Aqir al Shamoos, Yanqul province of Oman. The soft-stone vessels are dated roughly to 1300-300 BC.

Relics of ancient fortifications and monumental tombs were found among numerous sites by a group of archaeologists from the Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology of the University of Warsaw. The fieldwork in a the project, coordinated by prof. Piotr Bieliński, was led by dr Łukasz Rutkowski.

A collection of bronze weapons that were symbolic and possessed no utilitarian function were found in Oman. The finds are dated to the Iron Age II (900-600 BC).
