A fortified structure consisting of concentric features was noticed by aerial archaeologist near Oława, South Poland. The researchers believe the structure may be 7000 years old.

Remains of a 200-year-old plantation manager’s building, owner’s mansion and a kitchen building were unearthed through excavation in La Caroline, north-eastern French Guiana. The plantation was one of hundreds functioning between 18th-19th centuries in that area of South America.

Archaeologists from University of Wrocław discovered the remains of gallows during excavations on the Mieszczańska Mountain in Złotoryja, South-west Poland. The remains of the gallows are believed to be the largest of so far documented brick structures of this kind in the region of Silesia.

Archaeologists from the University of Wrocław studied a part of the area of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia revealing it’s interesting past. Nowadays a remote place deprived of any road infrastructure and settlements, few thousands years ago it was a thriving area with conditions more suitable for habitation than at present.

The first season of excavations of a team of Polish archaeologists at the church of San Michele del Golfo (also known as Santa Maria di Campogrosso) resulted in dating the origins of the building and documenting new, unknown walls and graves next to the present ruins of the structure.
